Education Unit Level Curriculum is the operationalcurriculum that formulated and implemented by each educational unit. Education Unit Level Curriculum as a manifestation of primary and secondary education curriculum developed in accordance with its relevance by any group or committee of the education unit and school under the coordination and supervision of the local education office of the Department of Religion District / City to basic education and secondary education to the province based Content Standards and Standards on Graduate Competency and curriculum guide prepared by the National Education Standards Agency. Education Unit Level Curriculum was developed based on the following principles:
• centered on the potential, progress, needs and interests of learners and their environment.
• diverse and integrated
• responsive to developments in science, technology and art
• relevant to the needs of life
• comprehensive and sustainable
• lifelong learning
• balance between national interests and regional interests
Education Unit Level Curriculum components include: purpose of education the education unit, and reference operational education unit level curriculum development. Structure of the Education Unit Level Curriculum in elementary and secondary education levels contained in the content standards, which developed from a group of subjects as follows:
(1) The subjects of religion and noble character
(2) The subject of citizenship and personality
(3) The subjects of Science and Technology
(4) The aesthetic subjects
(5) The physical subjects, sports and health
Level of the education curriculum includes a number of subjects that the breadth and depth is the burden of learning for students in the educational unit. In addition, the substance of local and self-development activities included in the curriculum content. Curriculum and other education unit level include: Increase in Class, and Graduation; Life Skills Education, and Education Excellence-Based Local and Global.
